99 residences, Avenue de France, Paris 13, France, 2008

Our project proposes, on plot M9B3, Avenue of France, a sculptured, clean and compact building which assures an urban continuity on the avenue while allowing, through its unique character, the introduction of a play of contrast and a rhythm of volumes which suggests the green heart of the island thanks to an urban window, on a commercial block on the street Julie Daubié. On the avenue of France, the building proposes a facetted volume of differentiated planes in iridescent gold-coloured metal which play with the light as a vertical drape. The effect of inflection of facades, thanks to the slightly inclined plane on the last three levels, has the effect of lowering the built mass, strengthened by the reflections of light on the metal and by the calm and generous openings along the avenue and on the angles of the building. Hollow bays are visually enlarged by the slanting planes of the window frames.
