The building is conceived as a compact concrete block, distinguished by large corner openings strategically positioned. To the south, these openings provide breathtaking views of the valley, while to the west, they open up to the lake, thereby enhancing the relationship between the architecture and its natural environment.

Compactness and Poetry
Aligned with the Aqualoisirs hall, a large mineral esplanade defines the valley and provides a continuous landscape connection between the lake and the belvedere. Adorned with outdoor relaxation pools, it creates a space for well-being and contemplation, while accentuating the site’s topography. The Aqualoisirs center is firmly oriented to the south, ensuring optimal sunlight for all of its pools. The views are enhanced by protruding windows designed as “bow windows,” which frame the landscape and offer exceptional vistas of the valley and the lake’s edge.

A Line Along the Hillsides

The project is designed with a deep respect for the natural site, emphasizing the crosswise flow of the valley. The building blends harmoniously into the hillside, nestled within a vegetative screen of coniferous trees. It offers a direct connection to the La Moubra lake and its pedestrian promenade, enhancing both its landscape and functional integration. The existing lake embankment is reimagined with the creation of a large wooden deck esplanade. This development enhances the lake’s shoreline while providing improved access to the lake for visitors. It serves as a space for gathering and socializing, fostering a direct connection with the water. The building’s exterior is crafted from anthracite-colored concrete, ensuring a discreet and seamless integration into the surrounding natural landscape. This material choice gives the project a refined, elegant aesthetic that perfectly complements the site’s natural tones.
